Building and Fire Code Compliance

GRG is recognized as having building science expertise. Since building science involves several technical fields, it is important that we understand the building and fire code requirements for a variety of types of construction and technical areas.

Our "expert" services have been retained on numerous occasions to assess compliance of building systems and components with the building code. Most often associated with a claim for non-compliance, not only must the strict conformance be assessed, but also the implications of any variations.

GRG staff have obtained Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing qualifications for Complex Buildings, Large Buildings, Small Buildings, House, Building Structural, Designer Legal, and have passed the exams for Registered Code Agency. Jerry Genge, President of GRG, is designated as a Building Design Specialist by the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
